We plan to discuss:
– Our goal to have 50% BIPOC leaseholders to interrupt the racial power dynamics that can arise in white-majority boards
– The land
– Unique challenges and opportunities regarding food sovereignty in island/remote communities (waterway-based food distribution was what was practiced pre-colonization, early colonization, mostly ended during WW2 with the introduction of the highway system)
– Food production and farmland conservation in a state where big ag is greatly focused on export crops
