Agricultural Law Program Accepting Applications

For anyone who is interested in food and agricultural law course work or an advanced law degree in agricultural & food law –
The LL.M. Program in Agricultural & Food Law at the University of Arkansas School of Law now has both a face-to-face program in Arkansas and a distance track that offers our full curriculum remotely. While our LL.M. candidates get first priority in terms of course enrollment, we now also allow non-degree students to take our courses. JD students, lawyers, and graduate students in related disciplines are all welcome to apply to take one or more of our classes.
Our program began as an agricultural law program over thirty years ago, and since 2004, we have offered food law courses as part of our core curriculum.  In 2009, we changed the official name of the program to reflect the integrated study that we provide.  It is now the LL.M. Program in Agricultural & Food Law.
Last August, we launched our new distance program, and expanded our curriculum. All of our courses are now available remotely.
If you visit our website, you can see the list of the courses we offer.  Our blog, found at agfoodllm.com provides details on our ongoing work and the accomplishments of our alumni. We also have a monthly newsletter as well. The latest issue announces that applications are now being accepted for Fall 2015 degree candidates.  It also announces new opportunities for non-degree course enrollment.
We are moving into the international arena with a focus on developing and transitional economies, food system resilience, corporate social responsibility, rule of law and land tenure issues. The professors that are helping to guide our work in this area are Christopher Kelley and Uche Ewelukwa.
