More About Kristin King-Ries

Kristin is a solo practice attorney representing community land trusts, farmers, and other affordable housing and farming organizations. Her work focuses on applying shared-equity legal models to property ownership to redress income inequality and racial discrimination. Prior to opening a private practice she served as general counsel to Trust Montana, a statewide community land trust, and as land use policy manager for the Community Food and Agriculture Coalition in Western Montana. She is a founding member of the Montana Agrarian Commons and served on Agrarian Trust's 2020 Agrarian Commons Committee. Kristin has served on the board of the Northwest Community Land Trust Coalition and currently co-chairs their Advocacy Committee.
